for Jungle Explorers (Beginning)
Explore the world of robotics using award-winning LEGO® WeDo software to build and optimize LEGO® models! Simple machines, motors, and sensors are integrated with icon-based software allowing you to build and program jungle creatures while gaining an understanding of robotics, engineering, and the value of teamwork. Bring a snack and capped drink. Designed for ages 7 - 10.
Robotics for Imagineers (Beyond Beginning)
Let your imagination run wild as you use award-winning LEGO® WeDo software to build and optimize LEGO® brick models! A variety of imaginary themes will be covered such as storybook adventures and space. Lessons are customized to focus on building and programming while stretching your imagination. Bring a snack and capped drink. Designed for ages 7 - 10.
Robotics for Urban Explorers (Intermediate)
This camp requires focus to build more complex projects. Guided by award- winning LEGO® WeDo software, you'll create functional structures involving accuracy and detail. You'll discover how simple machines are utilized in everyday life while building and programming heavy equipment, a drawbridge, and amusement park rides. Bring a snack and capped drink. Designed for ages 9 - 12.
Robotics: Mastering the Challenges (Intermediate)
Using LEGO® MINDSTORMS NXT students will learn to design, program, and control fully-functional robotic models. They'll use software to plan, test, and modify sequences of instructions for a variety of challenges. Activities are designed to provide a foundation in programming and engineering processes while encouraging cooperative work strategies. Designed for ages 10 - 13.
Robotics: Accomplishing the Green City (3.1)
Students are challenged to further their knowledge of MINDSTORMS programming and engineering. They build upon their programming and problem-solving skills by making robots solve real-world engineering challenges related to renewable energy. Challenges will include placing a solar panel on a LEGO® house, opening a dam at a hydro-power plant, and knocking over a smokestack. Robotics: Mastering the Challenges (3.0) is highly recommended. Designed for ages 10 - 13.
